LCHS Families- Tonight is a rivalry game for the LCHS football team against Riverside. The students are getting excited for it- rightfully so! I ask, if you or your student will be attending the game, to represent Lehman well. Sporting events, especially big matches, can come with increased tension. Please channel that energy with respect and good sportsmanship. Our coaches have discussed this with our players, and I wanted to remind all of you of this as well. Let's show Riverside how good of a football program and school we are, from our coaches and players to our students and fans. Let's go get a win! Go Cavs!!!!

Families- please ensure your student is following the dress code set forth in the Student Handbook. Some of these items were not enforced in the past, but will be this year. Lehman promotes modesty, professionalism, and dignity, and we want our students to reflect this. Some items we see being violated on a regular basis are:
1. Length of skirts/shorts for ladies- these MUST be below mid-thigh. I spoke to the female students today about this. We ask your help with this. Educational Apparel comes on October 14 if you need to purchase another skirt/skort. They may also wear shorts or pants as other options.
2. Facial hair- Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors must be clean-shaven each day. Senior men will be permitted to have facial hair as long as it's well kept and trimmed (less than 1/2 inch).
3. Undershirts- only white t-shirts or turtlenecks may be worn under the school polos. No colored undershirts are permitted.
4. Shorts for men- shorts must be longer than the compression shorts that are being worn by some of our gentleman- these compression shorts should not be seen as they are standing and walking.
Thank you for your partnership in helping ensure these and all policies are followed. The culture here at Lehman is different than the culture America has created for itself. Some of these things may be challenging for your student because of that, but we ask for your assistance in focusing on the "why" of why these matter.
Lehman believes in exemplifying Jesus, and having high standards and expectations of professionalism and modesty for ourselves and our students.
Please contact me directly with any questions or concerns. Thank you!
-Brad Zimmerman
