The National Day of Giving began as a nationwide effort in 2012. During this season of Thanksgiving, we encourage everyone to pause for a few moments and think back to the institutions and individuals who have made a significant impact on their lives. As we send this letter to Lehman graduates and their families we hope Lehman is among those who come to mind when you reflect upon and contemplate gratitude for you and/or your family's experience.
Numerous studies have demonstrated the impact of the high school years on a person's life outcome. So many Lehman graduates have done so much good in the years since their graduation, both in and out of the local area! As I begin my 32nd year in Catholic education, and my 2nd year at Lehman, I continue to be joyfully surprised by the support and care the community has for Lehman.
To celebrate Lehman on Giving Tuesday we invite everyone to make a gift within their means and to realize that every gift makes a difference. Additionally, we have added the following:
Gifts made on December 3 will be matched, cumulatively, up to $30,000 by an anonymous donor.
Donors giving $100 or more on December 3 will be entered into a drawing to win 8 tickets and transportation in the Cavalier Cruiser to and from (one pick-up and one drop-off) Lehman's Annual Auction on February 1, 2025. The winner will be announced on December 4.
Donors giving $50 or more on December 3 will receive a special gift from Lehman Catholic.
One of the many things I have learned about the Lehman community is that it is built on givers, please consider a gift to Lehman Catholic on December 3.
Gratefully in Christ,
Chris Knight, President
